India on Canvas – India on Canvas 2006 & 2007
Just what does it take to generate funds for a philanthropic cause? A unique concept and a little bit of heart. KHUSHII (Kinship for Humanitarian, Social and Holistic Intervention In India) conceptualized a breakthrough fund-raiser event, which went on to be the biggest art-auction of India . A pen is mightier than a sword and a paint brush mightier than a pen… that's what was demonstrated in this unique event wherein 100 eminent Indians from the likes of Ratan Tata, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Tina Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan, Praful Patel, Renuka Choudhary, Sunil Bharti Mittal etc were paired with eminent artists like Laxman Shreshta, Anjali Ela Menon, Atul Dodiya etc. History was created and India on canvas was born.

The duo discussed their vision of India , which was translated onto a canvas with the paintbrush. And this paintbrush changed lives of several underprivileged people by generating value worth millions of dollars through an art auction. The event was hosted at the British High Commissioner's Office in Delhi and valuated by none other than the globally renowned Christies' Auction House.
Following the runaway success of IOC 2006, this history will repeat itself in October 2007 in Mumbai as more eminent Indians like Business Tycoon – Kumar Mangalam Birla, The Govenor of Maharashtra SM Krishna, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar, the Indian Cricket Team and many more will have a ‘brush' with this art with a heart.
